On 14 March 2023, the UK Medicines regulator approved an application to reclassify the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis. When marketed asCialis Together(tadalafil 10mg), it will be a ‘P’ (pharmacy) medication, and so available ‘over the counter’ in pharmacies – see. This follows the 2018, ‘P’ classification of (sildenafil 50mg) which has been available OTC, without a prescription, since then.
This decision is good news for men’s health …. Erectile dysfunction can be a debilitating condition, so it’s important men feel they have fast access to quality and legitimate care
Dr Laura Squire, MHRA’s Chief Officer for Healthcare, Quality and Access
Unfortunately, there is a strong black market in the UK for ED medicines, which are often unlicensed or counterfeit. UK Border Force and the MHRA seize millions of pounds of these fake products from criminals annually. This new classification of tadalafil 10mg will enable men who suffer from ED to obtain it safely from a local pharmacy.
Sanofi, the drug manufacturer, is expected to launch Cialis Together later in 2023. Cialis Together will be available to purchase in pharmacies without a prescription by men over 18 with erectile dysfunction. Cialis Together tablets will contain 10mg tadalafil and the maximum pack size will be 8 tablets. Other doses and pack sizes of Cialis and tadalafil will still be available on prescription through doctors and specially trained pharmacists. Before purchase in a pharmacy there must be an assessment with a pharmacist, who will check that Cialis Together is appropriate and safe, or whether consultation with a GP is necessary.
Men suffering with ED will have another treatment option with the convenience of purchasing it in their local pharmacy, including pharmacies found inside supermarkets (eg. Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s). The pharmacist will ask some health questions, may check blood pressure, and will advise on treatment with Cialis Together or Viagra Connect, or the need to consult a GP. Pharmacies usually have a private room for such discussions.
Cialis Together is a 10mg tadalafil product for use at least 30 minutes prior to anticipated sexual activity. Its effects can last. It is not recommended for daily use. The maximum recommended dose of Cialis Together will be one tablet in 24 hours. Prescription Cialis and tadalafil will still be available at different doses.
Dr Fox welcomes the wider access to ED medication for men that Cialis Together classified as a ‘P’ OTC medication will provide. We at Dr Fox are aware of the difficulties men have in discussing ED with their GPs and in accessing ED medication. We know that Cialis is effective and safe for most men and this change provides another option for obtaining ED treatment. Pharmacists are health professionals who are able to give ED advice but they will also know when to refer men who would benefit from a doctor’s assessment. ‘P’ medicines can also be supplied on prescription, and we will offer Cialis Together, when available, alongside our other competitively priced ED products.

In the UK have 3 categories:
The first time he was told he could go to the supermarket, a small but effective Viagra pill was a surprise. The little blue pill, sold under the brand name Viagra, was supposed to work for men only, and a British doctor put it to his wife, who was then told to take it. It was a huge deal. But now the man who had just bought it at a local pharmacy had decided to give it a try. The doctor told him to take a half-dose with a glass of water and to wait for at least five minutes before taking the pill, then go to bed. If he took a Viagra pill he was supposed to be able to get an erection in four hours, which he did. The doctor said he could get an erection in five minutes, which would be enough time for him to get the benefit of an erection. But he was not going to do that. He would take the pill only when he felt like it. So he took the pill and went back to his place to have it taken.
It did work for him. In fact, it did work for him. He had a new erection for about two hours. But he didn't get any sort of erection, which could be dangerous to him. It didn't mean that he was going to have to go to the doctor. He would wait until the doctor told him that he was going to have to take Viagra, then go to bed. The doctor said he could get an erection in four hours, which he did. The doctor said he would be able to get an erection in five minutes. It was only to be a bit longer if he took the pill. But he was not going to take Viagra. He would have to take a Viagra pill to have an erection.
The doctor was right. The Viagra pill worked. But it didn't last. In his mind he was only going to have to take the pill if he felt like it. The pill didn't work. So he got an erection, which was not an erection. In fact, he didn't even get one erection at all. But he still had the erection that he had. He wasn't even going to have to take the pill. He would have to take it again, which he did. He was going to have to take it again. It was time to go to bed. And, as usual, he was going to have to take the pill. He was supposed to have the erection in four hours. It was a little early for him.
Viagra was not the first time he had taken a pill. In the same way that he had a new erection for six months, he had a new erection for four months. But now he had a new erection for the first time. In fact, he was not going to have any erection in four hours. He would be able to get an erection in four minutes. He was not going to take a Viagra pill. So he took the pill. He took the pill. It took four hours. And then he took it again. He took the pill again. In fact, he took the pill again. And then he took the pill again.Last updated 17 February 2022

A couple of days ago, I went for a walk and came across a sign that said “Where to go if you buy Viagra?” I asked my local pharmacy. The pharmacist told me there was a pharmacy in the back street where a woman sold the pills to a friend. She said the pills were “just the same as Viagra.” She said I was buying the pills on the counter. I looked at the woman and couldn’t help but laugh. I then asked the pharmacist if there was a woman who would sell pills to me on the counter. She said yes, but the pills were so expensive they didn’t even come in the order they were sold in. I asked if she had a prescription for the pills. I asked her if it was her and she said yes. I asked if it was her that sold the pills for me. She said yes, but I wanted to buy the pills on the counter. I asked if there was another pharmacy I could visit that would sell the pills to me on the counter. I asked her if there was a store that would sell the pills on the counter. She said she would have to go through the whole pharmacy. She also said there was a shop that was next to the pharmacy that would sell the pills. I asked if it was her that would sell the pills for me. She said yes, but she was scared the pills would come into my system. I asked her what kind of pills would be sold on the counter. She said I could always ask her a question. I asked if there was a supermarket store that would sell the pills. She said yes, but that was a long time ago and now she has a pharmacy in her house that sells the pills and that store wouldn’t sell them. I asked if I could buy the pills for her.
